VIEWING SURFACE FAMILIES

Draper makes selecting the perfect viewing surface easier by dividing our viewing surfaces into families. These families subdivide our viewing surfaces, based on important characteristics which clarify how the screen will be used, ensuring you get the very best screen surface for your needs. Draper viewing surfaces are divided into four distinct families: OptiView, OptiFlex, ClearSound, and CineFlex.

    OptiView

    Self-supporting Surfaces

    Our OptiView surfaces are all self-supporting and do not require tensioning to perform their best. These surfaces are generally in-stalled on motorized or manual roller screens with a dowel below the screen surface. Most surfaces in this group have a tearproof fi-berglass textile base. OptiView surfaces are extremely sturdy and suitable for use in a variety of settings. OptiView surfaces include:

    Tensioned Surfaces

    The OptiFlex surfaces are suitable for tensioning and are available on permanently tensioned screens and/or tab tensioned roller-operated screens. Choose OptiFlex for the flattest viewing sur-faces. OptiFlex surfaces include:

    Extra Wide Viewing Cone/Typical Contrast/On-Axis Gain of 1.0
  • Grey XH600V (formerly HiDef Grey)
    Extra Wide Viewing Cone/High Contrast/On-Axis Gain of 0.6
  • Pearl White CH1900V (formerly M2500)
    Controlled Viewing Cone/High Contrast/On-Axis Gain of 1.9

    ClearSound

    Acoustically Transparent Surfaces

    Whenever sound sources are to be located behind the viewing surface ClearSound surfaces are designed to allow sound through and still perform well optically. Standard and microscopic perfo-rations are available, and the innovative woven acoustically trans-parent fabrics, first available through Draper. The combination of self-supporting and tensioned ClearSound surfaces means that almost any Draper projection screen model can be provided with a ClearSound viewing surface. ClearSound surfaces include:

    Rear and Dual Front/Rear Tensioned Surfaces

    Draper has offered a CineFlex flexible rear projection surface for many years. CineFlex has grown into a family of surfaces, offering choices of gain* and color to meet a range of rear and dual front/rear projection needs. CineFlex surfaces are available on a wide range of permanently tensioned, portable, and tab tensioned projection screen models. CineFlex surfaces include:
